Mike’s “Shows” 10/25-10/28

J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! The Jets with a big win this past Sunday baby! HALLOWEEN is upon us and a happy one to all you witches and goblins!! Looking forward to doing some trick or treating’ this year as always! I’m gonna be a sumo wrestler so if ya see a 51 yr old sumo wrestler at your door make sure you give him plento’ candy and directions to weight watchers will ya?!
Made DA SAWCE this past weekend!! Came out great but there were alot of twist and turns this time. First of all ya need to know we got a new stove. So I go buy all the stuff, case of tomatoes, 2 center cut pork chops,1 beef brisolie, 2 pork brisolies 4lbs o’ meat to make meatballs, 11 links o’sausage, and a partridge in a pear tree!! NO, NO , NO!! Just kiddin bout the partridge in a pear tree part but I did buy all that other stuff!! So I makeah da sawce witha da porks chops anda da meataballs and sausage and brisolies on Thursday. Now for those of you who don’t know, when you make SAWCE you have to set it all up with the onions and garlic and the meat and just let it slowly cook! So I set it all up on Thursday and Friday morning I get up early as always, drag the SAWCE outta the refridge and put it on a low setting and begin stirring. An hour goes by and finally my SAWCE is startin’ to cook! So I set the stove a little lower,(Which is where I’d set my old stove), and go take a shower. I come back and alas!! DA SAWCE IS BURNT!!! Oh NO!! Now I start talkin’ to myself , “Don’t panic Mike you can still salvage this!” Cause I didn’t burn the meat only the tomatoes so I strain the meat out dump the tomatoes, run to the store to but more tomatoes and 2 more center cut pork chops to start it with. Run home start the SAWCE all over again with onions and the garlic and crushing the tomatoes and get it all up and running by 2:45 PM which is when I gotta pick Michael up from school!!But now ya gotta worry if the SAWCE is gonna pick up the flavor of the meat cause the meat was mostly cooked already! But ya know what? As the Sawce cooked on Saturday afternoon it just got better & better and BETTER!! So by the time my company arrived at 4 o’clock I had fully recovered from my blunder and then some!! Once again a house full of company were all speaking Italian by the time they left my house,(or was that just all the wine we consumed cause I couldn’t understand a word anybody was sayin’ by the time it was over LOL!)
Nuffodat!! To the schedule we go!!

Tuesday Oct. 25th Heyy’all we got a new influx of talent at the acoustic open mic at Jack Halyards in Oyster Bay!! We got Ed who’s great and we got Steve who bring a buncha drinkin buddies!! Couple that with our regulars and this night is better than eva!! Also I hear that Michele’s hubby Ron is supposed to be coming down on a more regular basis so we’re LOADED WIT TALENT OVA DERE!!! I’m gonna start at 7 but if Ed is there we’re both gonna play the 1st hour together then at 8:15 we’ll start bringin’ the rest of the talent up K ?
