O.K. A late blog is better than no blog! First I gotta say sorry to my cousin Jen I’m not doing business first I’m telling everybody about Carly O.K.? Those of you who don’t care just scroll down to the “business”.
About a month ago Carly is sleeping on the couch,(where she’s not supposed to be of course), and I’m downstairs feverisly transcribing music as I usually am. My financial advisor calls and says he needs to stop by and have me sign a few things. Cool it’ll take 2 minutes and we’ll be done I’ll be rich and blah blah blah! So he knocks on the door and I hear Carly jump off the couch I come upstairs and she’s very excited to see Mike P. She likes him so she has a tendency to jump on him to say hello. So I close the door to my living room so she doesn’t jump as soon as he walks in the door and let Mike in the foyer. I say , “Mike she’s gonna jump on you so are you ready?” Him “Yes of course!” I open the door to my living room , she backs up and hits a piece of furniture and proceeds to go into a seizure! Couldn’t stand up I thought she injured her spine!! Drooling, losing hair then pees on the rug, she never does that! So I pick her up put her in the car and take her to the emergency room where she gets thru it and $350 later, she’s fine just too much brain activity and things where bouncing around up there! But man did this freak me out!!Shes fine now but if she has another one within a year we have to medicate her. It is amazing how much this dog has become a part of our family we were so freaked out we couldn’t stop watching her to make sure nothing else happened!
O.K. thanks for listening to me whine about my pooch!! Now the “business”
Tuesday July 1st (tonight!) Abby Brosnan was supposed to be our Featured Artist but she is sick and has to postpone her appearance to later in the month (July 22nd I believe) so tonight we are going to “old school it” at the Acoustic open mic which by the way is happening at Jack Halyards at 62 South Street Oyster Bay NY 11771 (516) 922-2999 or go to jackhalyards.com. I’ll go on at 7 and start the open mic at like 8:15 or so!! Hope to see you there!!
Thursday July 3rd I’ve been informed that Jewel is closed for a private party so there will be no Jewel this week!! Pick it up next Thursday!
Friday 4th of July Privatefrickinparty!! So no Mims in Roslyn!! Will pick that up at the end of the month on the 25th!
