First of all Happy Mothers Day to all you Moms out there! Hope yours was at least as good as mine! Mothers Day was cool with my fam however it was Friday night that was far less then cool!
Before I tell you about it first let me apologize to my friends at Cool Fish. I had Cool Fish listed on last weeks blog and I just spaced out the correction email. So sorry for that guys but I’m sure Joe was a more than adequate replacement.
So Friday Night I got a gig in Saratoga Springs! 3 1/2 hours away with no traffic 4 1/2 with traffic. So I go, I get there in time cool so far right? The gig is just grueling, hardly any breaks, I get into a misunderstanding with the keyboard player, and I get a ticket on the way home for disobeying a traffic sign,(who knows how much this will be I’ll let you know as soon as they let me know). Suffice to say that this gig sucked! I should have just done my Cool Fish gig right?
O.K. so heres the other thing. My wife & I bought some Leland Cypress trees to put in our backyard, which is cool but it has rained everyday since then, except for yesterday and today. So that means that I gotta get this blog written and mailed so I can go dig holes in our back yard and plant ‘em! Yippie for me! So to the schedule we go!
Tuesday May 14th We’re going old school open mic at Jack Halyards in Oyster Bay. 62 South Street Oyster Bay N.Y. 11771, (516) 922-2999 or jackhalyards.com. Old School means no Featured Artist this week! Couldn’t find one that was ready willing and able to be featured. So we’re going old school , I’ll start at 7 play til 8 then start bringing people up to party with me! 2 or 3 songs each depending on crowd. We’ll go to 11:30 12 depending. See you there!!

That being said I’d like to thank everybody that came down last week so the gig survives another week!! Please guys if you can get down there this Wednesday I would surely appreciate it as management is still checking it out to see if it’s gonna stick!!

Last week I was havin vocal problems and the crowd still reacted!! I mean they threw tomatoes at me but they reacted!! Naaaahhh just kidding! Every week the crowd is warmer & warmer! Place has great food also so ya gotta check it while you can!
