Sorry ’bout bin’ so late today I’m up to my elbows in tax documents.
Alot’s happened in the last week so lets do the bad news first. The powers that be over at The Schooner on Fire Island are making a change this year. The Mike Dorio Trio will not be there every Sunday in the summertime anymore.The claim is they don’t make enough money every Sunday to have us there. So as of now we will only be playing at The Schooner inn on 5/29, 7/3, and 9/4, 3 Sundays! Sign of the times for sure!! At this point I wanna thank all you beachbums for the support every year!! I will miss playin for you every Sunday and I wanna tell you that you crazies have made this gig a special one for me!Whether solo or with the band you guys made it fun!!! And to all my classmates from high school, Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!! It’s always an honor and a pleasure to play for you and I hope to see y’all soon! Most of all I’ve enjoyed making so many friends over there thru the years! I’ll miss seeing old friends and making new ones week in and week out! Again we move on!
So it was Mike Jr’s birthday this past Sunday (3/13). So we booked a weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania,(that how ya spell that), but the big surprise was that his cousins Christopher & Rachel were following us there! So we stopped about a half hour outside of the lodge and Christopher and Rachel surprised him at breakfast! He was so excited I thought his head was gonna blow off! We had so much fun at this park! Water rides and slides it was great!! He had so much fun and by the way , so did I!! I gotta get one of those water rides for my yard man they are so much fun!! Oh and by the way totally blew this diet this weekend!
